Rolleston Cricket Club- Pink Stumps Day

The small town of Rolleston, Queensland is home to a heartwarming tradition that was inspired by kindness, friendship, and a commitment to make a difference.

Through their Pink Stumps Day, the Rolleston Cricket Club has been uniting the community for 13 years in support of a cause that is dear to their hearts. Rick Jones from the Rolleston Cricket Club says, “There were many people in our community that were directly or indirectly affected by breast cancer, and we wanted to get together to show them our support.”

Rolleston Cricket Club’s Pink Stumps Day evolved into more than just a fundraising event; it became a day for the whole community to get together. Each year, the residents of Rolleston look forward to getting involved in their annual Pink Stumps Day, which features a ladies' day, a raffle, a charity auction, and of course, cricket. The men don their pink shirts and caps and get ready to hit the cricket pitch while the ladies get dressed up in their pink attire for the ladies’ day for a day of fun.

Rolleston Cricket Club raised $10,000 during their last Pink Stumps Day, bringing the total amount of funds raised to $40,000 since 2012. This incredible achievement shows the power of communities rallying for a cause.
