Miss Annabelle's Kombi Tour
Our mission is to raise awareness and funds for the McGrath Foundation by embarking on a journey through regional SA, VIC, ACT & NSW in Miss Annabelle the Pink Kombi.
Inspired by our personal experiences and commitment to the cause, we strive to support breast cancer patients and their families by ensuring access to specialist breast care nurses. Through compassion and community spirit, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer and foster a nationwide movement of hope and support.
This journey is deeply personal to us. In May last year, our lives were forever changed when I received the devastating diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer. Together with my loved ones, we're embarking on this journey in Miss Annabelle to make a difference, to spread awareness, and to offer support.
Our journey will take us from Mount Barker, SA, to Sydney, NSW, through regional towns in SA, VIC, ACT, and NSW, in our 1974 VW Kombi, Miss Annabelle. At each stop, we will host "Pink in the Park" events, promoting wellness and community engagement through activities like yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, and Pink Stumps Cricket Matches. These events are designed to foster health, connection, and support for those affected by breast cancer.
With a fundraising goal of $50,000, we are supported by the Rotary Club of Blakiston Nairne, whose assistance is invaluable in helping us achieve our mission.
