Pink is the colour of care
This year, Glenmore State School is rallying behind a very important cause as we raise money for the McGrath Foundation to support the incredible work they do placing Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia. Breast cancer remains the most common cancer affecting women in Australia, and we want to do our part to ensure no one goes through it without care and support.
This cause has become even more personal for us as one of our valued staff members has recently been diagnosed with cancer. As a community, we are coming together for "Glenmore Goes Pink for Cancer" to show our support for her during this challenging time. On Friday, 8 November, I, along with two other staff members, will be participating in a "Shave for a Cure." Our goal is to raise $1000 to support individuals and families experiencing breast cancer.
