The shave has occured!

The Big Shave is On this Sunday
The big shave is this Sunday 16 March. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. You can still donate after the shave and encourage me for the first mini triathlon where I'll be wearing bright pink to honour McGrath Foundation!Breast cancer is not uncommon
1 in 58 women a day are diagnosed with breast cancer, its not uncommon. Like many families, we've experienced breast cancer before. I know that each diagnosis and each experience of breast cancer is unique and our family isn't alone.I grew up knowing the that my great grandmother Ursula was a breast cancer survivor. Ursula received a lifesaving treatment of a mastectomy when she was young, when there were limited other treatment options, fortunately she lived into her 90's before peacefully passing.
My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer just before, although it was incredibly shocking news. Mum was fortunate to enough to get all the tumour removed 5 days before Christmas.
Like many of you who will come across this blog I have friends, and other family family members who've experienced both breast cancer and other cancers. Maybe you are one of the 58 women a day who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, maybe your living with cancer, maybe you're in remission. Thank you for visiting my fundraiser page, cancer sucks.
McGrath nurses are now expanding beyond breast cancer. I'm raising funds to support them to expand on the already amazing work they do to support those who have breast cancer so that more people can experience their support.
Thanks for considering a financial donation to my fundraiser.
Pink is the colour of care
I’m fundraising to ensure that no one goes through cancer without the care of a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse.
A cancer diagnosis can change your life in an instant and the impact can be felt right through your family, friends, and community.
McGrath Cancer Care Nurses provide clinical, psychosocial and emotional support to people with any type of cancer throughout their treatment.
Thank you so much for your support.

I bumped into you when you were in the Kincumber Post Office. You had just got your flyers printed. I promised I would donate but misplaced the paper for a bit. You must now be choosing the new colour you would like to go to for your new hair. I think Pink would be great. Well Done!!! I walked for Cancer Council in March but this is just another avenue of the funding needed.
