This cricket season, we want to make a difference!

We will be getting out this Pinks Stumps Day because no one should go through breast cancer without the care of a McGrath Breast Care Nurse.

McGrath Breast Care Nurses help individuals and their families affected by breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological, and emotional support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment.

Event Details

Sturt District Cricket Club will be holding The Pink Stumps Day on Saturday 14th December. We encourage all players to show support by wearing pink zinc and/or pink ribbons for a gold coin donation. These will be available to any teams to collect at Price Memorial Oval from Wednesday 4th December at 5:30pm. We invite all current and past players, and their families to join us from 2:30pm for a sausage sizzle on Saturday 14th December at Price Memorial Oval. Sturt 1st and 2nds teams will be playing from 9:30am. We encourage families to come and support the ladies games. At the completion of the 1sts game a friendly game of cricket will follow. The bar will also be open. 1 in 7 women and 1 in 550 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. A number of families at our club have been impacted by Breast Cancer. So let’s get together and show support for all of the Sturt families who have, or possibly will be impacted by Breast Cancer. The McGrath Foundation raise money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses who provide invaluable support and care to individuals and families experiencing breast cancer. From diagnosis right throughout treatment, McGrath Breast Care Nurses are available to help for free and with no referral.
