Hi All,
This year through Nadine's diagnosis we have personally seen first hand the wonderful support and impact the McGrath foundation Breast Care Nurses provide throughout the whole process.
Understanding that support is required ongoing and that not all facilities are blessed with a breast care nurse I have set up this fundraiser to help contribute to the effort and will dedicate running this years Melbourne Marathon to raise further awareness. Any donation will be well received and appreciated.
Here are some of the ways the McGrath foundation ensure your donation will have an impact.
The McGrath Foundation provides funding for McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia. Each McGrath Breast Care Nurse is funded for a minimum of three years.
We work closely with all state and territory health departments, as well as nominated area health services, to determine areas of need and locations for additional McGrath Breast Care Nurses.
There are currently 185 McGrath Breast Care Nurses, however more are needed to ensure that no one goes through breast cancer without the care of a McGrath Breast Care Nurse.

A breast cancer diagnosis can change your life in an instant and the impact can be felt right through your family, friends, and community.
McGrath Breast Care Nurses help individuals and their families affected by breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological, and emotional support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment.
Supporting me to raise funds for this great cause is easy and you can help the McGrath Foundation reach their goal of 250 nurses by 2025, to work towards ensuring no one misses out on care.
