Riding in Pink for the colour of care

SWTAFE are fundraising throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month to ensure that no one goes through breast cancer without the care of a McGrath Breast Care Nurse.

A breast cancer diagnosis can change your life in an instant and the impact can be felt right through your family, friends, and community.

McGrath Breast Care Nurses help individuals and their families affected by breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological, and emotional support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment.

Supporting SWTAFE to raise funds for this great cause is easy and you can help the McGrath Foundation reach their goal of 250 nurses by 2025, to work towards ensuring no one misses out on care.

Event Details

To coincide with Ride2Work Day, we will also be raising money and awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, by keeping the pedals turning on two exercise bikes at Warrnambool Campus. So, we are looking for around 70 staff and students to each give us 15 minutes of their time during the course of the day. If you'd like to be involved, we can allocate you your 15 minutes. If you get in early, you can choose your time. Also, grab a friend to cycle with you, as the two bikes will be located together in a prominent campus location. So, even if you don't have a bike to ride to work, you can hop on the exercise bike and ride for a good cause. We look forward to seeing you there. Feel free to wear some of the supplied awesome pink riding gear if you want to get into the spirit.
